Britney Spears is clarifying what happened when paramedics arrived at her hotel room at West Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont hotel.

In a post to Instagram, Spears showed a video of her swollen right ankle and explained that she twisted it Wednesday night and accused paramedics of showing up at her door illegally.

“It’s so bad,” she explained.

The “Oops!…I Did It Again” singer said she was attempting to do a leap in the living room of the hotel and fell. She said when paramedics arrived they “caused this huge scene, which was so unnecessary” when all she wanted was ice.

“It is actually pretty bad, but s–t happens!” she giggled.

In an earlier post, she explained paramedics ever entered her room, but she felt “completely harassed.”

She wrote a lengthy caption in addition to the video and accused her mom, Lynne Spears of being involved.

“I haven’t talked to her in six months and she called right after it happened before the news being out !! I was set up just like she did way back when,” she wrote. “I wish I had grandparents!!! I can’t stand her!!! I honestly don’t care I will say it.”

On Thursday afternoon, TMZ reported that hotel employees were concerned the singer was having a mental breakdown and called paramedics.

Brian Humphrey, spokesperson for the Los Angeles Fire Department, told KTLA they were called at 12:42 a.m. for medical aid regarding an injured adult female. It was unclear if paramedics encountered the injured party but they departed at 1:17 a.m. without transporting anyone to the hospital. There was no law enforcement response to this incident.
