ESTANCIA 9, ST. MARGARET’S: 1: Estancia (12-2, 4-1) captured an Orange Coast League victory Tuesday at JSerra. Miles Moyer (5-1) earned the win, allowing an earned run and four hits and striking out five in five innings.
John Uchytil was 3 for 4 with four runs scored, an RBI, a double and two triples. Cole Lefebvre was 2 for 2 with a run scored, two RBI and a double, Miles Dodge was 3 for 4 with three runs scored and Jake Humphries 2 for 4 with a run scored and three RBI.
Estancia plays Orange Coast League rival Costa Mesa Wednesday at 3:15 p.m. in the Halo Classic at Angel Stadium. It will be a non-league game.
COSTA MESA 16, SANTA ANA 0: The Orange Coast League leading Mustangs (11-3, 5-0) were led by Will Clark, who had a complete game, two-hit shutout while striking out six. Grady Jackson was 3 for 4 with a double and an RBI, Isaiah Mamian was 3 for 3 with a double and three RBI and Will Morales 4 for 5 with four RBI.
PACIFICA 3, CREAN LUTHERAN 0: Matthew Fuami pitched a no-hitter striking out seven for the Mariners (9-4, 3-0). The teams play again Wednesday at Crean Lutheran.
NORTHWOOD 1, IRVINE 0 (8 innings): The Timberwolves, who lead the Pacific Coast League, scored a run in the eighth inning to win it at Northwood. Colin Carlson had a single up the middle to drive in Kai Mo. Northwood senior Casey Euper struck out 16 batters and allowed just one walk and two hits in seven innings for Northwood. Carter Liu pitched a scoreless eighth inning to earn the win.
Jordan Kim was 2 for 3 for Northwood (6-2-1, 5-1-1)
“Tuesday was a great pitcher’s duel,” said Irvine Coach Gabriel Cota. “Euper from Northwood was fantastic. Evan Tamayo started for us an as equally effective on the mound going three innings, giving up two hits and striking out five before having to leave with an injury,” said Irvine Coach Gabriel Cota,
“He was replaced by Jack Flanagan who threw two innings giving up two hits and striking out two. Drake Brito made his season debut going one inning with no hits and two strikeouts.
Irvine (5-4-1, 4-3) hosts Northwood Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.,
VILLA PARK 3, FOOTHILL 1: Villa Park *8-5, 1-1) got great pitching from Aaron Sambath, who pitched a complete game with seven strikeouts and one walk. Dominic Gutierrez was 1 for 4 with a double and an RBI, Nate Lewis was 1 for 3 with a run scored and a double and Sambath had an RBI.
