ANAHEIM, Calif. (Dec. 26, 2023) — They served us well, but now you can set out your Christmas trees for pickup through Jan. 12.
Make sure trees are clear of ornaments, lights and other decorations.
If you’re able to, cut trees larger than 6 feet in half.
Trees cut in multiple pieces can go in yard waste bins.
But, please, don’t put full trees in bins.
For apartments and condominium communities, check with your property manager for guidance.
Set trees out on your pickup day (noting that pickups for the week of Jan. 1 will be delayed by a day with the New Year’s Day holiday on Monday).
Regularly scheduled Monday pickups will take place on Tuesday, and so on, with Friday pickups on Saturday.
If you have an artificial tree, we hope you can continue using it.
But if your looking to dispose of an artificial tree, don’t set it out at the curb for pickup like you would with a real tree.
If you can, break down an artificial tree and put it in your black bin. Or you can call Republic Services for a bulky pickup at (714) 238-2444.
