ANAHEIM, Calif. (Nov. 6, 2023) — As we celebrate our annual Veterans Day ceremony, we honor all veterans, young and old, living and passed on.

We invite our community to join us on Saturday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. in front of the Anaheim Veterans Monument for a meaningful ceremony.

The event will be emceed by Navy and Vietnam veteran Bobby McDonald, president and CEO of the Black Chamber of Commerce.

We will hear from our inspiring keynote speaker, Alexis Federico, who served as a UH-1 helicopter pilot and instructor in the Marine Corps.

Major Federico served in the Marine Corps for over a decade and was the first female instructor pilot in Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 367, where she completed multiple combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The Esperanza High School Choir will sing the national anthem and the “Armed Forces Medley.”

Anaheim Public Utilities will also be offering green light bulbs to attendees as part of the Greenlight a Vet initiative. The initiative encourages people to show support for our veterans by displaying a green light outside their homes.

The Anaheim Veterans Monument is at 241 S. Anaheim Blvd.

Parking will be available in the Anaheim City Hall structure off Broadway and Mito Way, the surface lot at Anaheim Boulevard and Broadway and in structures on Center Street Promenade.
