It seems almost fitting that in a season of so many rainouts that weather could affect the start of the CIF baseball playoffs this week.

Forecasts in Orange County call for a chance of rain on Thursday when the Division 1, Divison 3 and Division 5 games are scheduled.

Games for Divisions 2, 4 and 6 are scheduled for Friday.

In anticipation of rain possibly falling Thursday, some games have been moved up to Wednesday.

Games confirmed moved to Wednesday, May 3:

3:15 p.m. starts unless noted

DIVISION 1

Orange Lutheran at Arlington

El Dorado at San Dimas

Warren at Huntington Beach

DIVISION 3

Centennial Corona at Yorba Linda

DIVISION 5

Calvary Chapel at Century, 3:30 p.m.

Anaheim at Marshall

Whittier Christian at Katella

Salesian at Estancia

Under CIF rules, games that are rained out should be made up the following day. Saturday games should be made up on Monday, according to the CIF playoff bulletin.
