Corona del Mar High School’s baseball team captured a 7-0 victory over Shadow Hills Tuesday in the Palm Desert All in Tournament.

It was the second game of the tournament for the Sea Kings, who tied Bishop Amat 4-4 in eight innings on Monday.

Nick Salmon pitched a complete, striking out five and allowed just four hits improve his record to 3-2.

Salmon was also 2 for 3 with a run scored.

Van Sidebotham was 2 for 4 with three RBI and a run scored and Dennis Fitzpatrick was 1 for 2 with a double, two walks, a stolen base and two runs scored. Shadow Hills dropped to 12-4.

“I am really happy with the way the team competed today,” said CdM Coach Kevin McCaffrey. “Nick was really good both on the mound and at the plate. The boys played a sound game on defense. “

Cdm (9-10-1) plays Heritage Wednesday at 1 p.m. in its next game.
