March 2, 2023

Disabled Vehicle – 8:28 p.m. – La Palma/Walker – The vehicle was in the southbound #3 lane just south of La Palma. It was determined that the driver accidentally turned the differential knob instead of the heater.

March 3, 2023

Bike Stop – 10:35 p.m. – Valley View/Fresca – During a bike stop, police conducted a search. A 43-year-old subject was subject was arrested for possession of unlawful paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance. The subject was released on citation.

March 4, 2023

Disturbance (Subject) – 7:46 p.m. – 7900 block of Walker St. – A male subject was reportedly smashing items on the floor and refusing to leave. Police made contact and it was agreed that the male would be allowed to stay in the waiting room until he found a ride.
Domestic Abuse – 11:22 p.m. – 7800 block of Walker St. – Garden Grove Police were out with a physical assault victim, who was brought into the hospital by a Good Samaritan. The suspect was the victim’s boyfriend, a Buena Park resident. The victim suffered a large gash on the head and a bump possibly from fists. Police arrested a 37-year-old male subject for domestic violence and assault with a deadly weapon.

March 5, 2023

Disturbance (Subject) – 8400 block of Moody St. – A shirtless male transient was reportedly taking his pants off and rubbing mud on himself. He was now running between cars. Police located him at Crescent and Salisbury. Paramedics were requested after the subject had a panic attack and thought his head was on fire. The subject appeared to be suffering from mental illness and was assessed by paramedics before being transported to the hospital. No crime occurred.
Disturbance (Family) – 9:40 p.m. – 7800 block of Jennifer Cir. – The caller’s son possibly hit or kicked the caller’s husband and threw ice cream at her. Police arrested a 43-year-old male for violation of a court order and elder abuse. Paramedics were requested for a female having an anxiety attack. The arrestee was transported to Orange County Jail.
Disturbance (Subject) – 10:08 p.m. – 5400 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – Two subjects were reportedly in an argument. The female subject had the keys to the male subject’s vehicle. The female had possibly been drinking. The male subject recovered the keys and would return property belonging to the female to her and then leave the area.

March 6, 2023

Burglary Report – 6:01 a.m. – 8400 block of Walker St. – The caller showed up to work and saw the glass to the side door was broken. Police made entry and the interior checked clear. A burglary report was taken. The loss was lottery tickets.
Disturbance (Juveniles) – 2:43 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – Approximately 50 juveniles were reportedly arguing in front of the business. The caller stated it looked like two of them were about to fight. An employee from the business stated that the juveniles attempted to start a fight inside the business and he had to kick them out. It was determined that there was no physical altercation and the juveniles left the area.
Assault with a Deadly Weapon – 4:20 p.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The caller’s 12-year-old daughter was reportedly struck multiple times with a phone cable by another 12-14-year-old male classmate while on the bus home from school. A witness took a video of the attack and uploaded it online.
Disturbance (Subject) – 7:11 p.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The mother of a student from a previous disturbance call went to the caller’s residence and threatened to hurt the caller’s daughter tomorrow. Both parties were counseled and advised to have no further contact. A supplemental report was taken.

March 7, 2023

Keep the Peace – 3:53 p.m. – 4600 block of Amberwood Ave. – The reporting party requested that an officer stand by while she retrieves her father’s ashes from the location.
Vehicle Burglary – 6:39 p.m. – 5300 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – A box of mail was reportedly stolen from a locked mail truck around 6:15 p.m. Report taken.

March 8, 2023

Disturbance (Neighbor) – 8:09 a.m. – 5200 block of Bransford Dr. – The caller stated that she could hear breaking furniture and yelling coming from the residence. Police made contact with three subjects. One subject had a restraining order. The restrained party was detained in cuffs. Police arrested a 32-year-old subject for violation of a court order and was transported to Orange County Jail.
Burglary Report – 2:10 p.m. – 5300 block of Pembury Dr. – An unknown subject broke into the residence possibly through the backyard. The residence was ransacked with an unknown loss at this time. The caller requested officers do a walkthrough. An open side door to the garage was found, and the rear slider was shattered. A nearby residence had surveillance of a suspect vehicle. Report taken. The loss was determined to be mainly jewelry and handbags.
