Mission Viejo, Villa Park, Corona del Mar and Woodbridge capture Monday wins

MISSION VIEJO 8, BECKMAN 6: The Diablos (7-2) captured a non-league victory Monday afternoon. Tyler Holland had a two-run walk-off home run and went 2 for 2 with four RBI and three runs scored to lead the Diablos. He also pitched two innings. Keena Anzai, who pitched two innings and struck out two, was the winning pitcher. He also went 1 for 4 with an RBI and two runs scored. Jack Boucher was 1 for 2 with with two walks and two RBI. Beckman dropped to 4-4-1 overall.

VILLA PARK 10, CANYON 0: Brandon Luu (3-0) got the win for the Spartans. In six innings, he allowed two hits and no runs and struck out 13. AJ Krodel was 3 for 4 with a double and four RBI, Gavin Grahovac was 2 for 5 with two runs scored, a double, home run and two RBI, Zach Brown was 2 for 5 with a run scored and Geoff McArthur was 2 for 3 with three runs scored and two RBI.

CORONA DEL MAR 6, LAGUNA BEACH 1: The Sea Kings were led by Hogan Smith, who threw a complete game striking out seven to record the win. Dennis Fitzpatrick was 2 for 4 with a double, home run and two runs scored.

WOODBRIDGE 2, SAGE HILL 1: The Warriors remained in first place in the Pacific Coast League with a win on Monday at Sage Hill. Brandon Abernathy (1-0) went the distance striking out 11 to lead Woodbridge (9-2, 7-1). Chase Quezada was 1 for 3 with a walk and a run scored, Abernathy was 1 for 4 with a double and Jake Amundson1 for 3 with an RBI to lead the Warriors offensively.
