February 5, 2023
Vehicle Burglary – 11:21 a.m. – 5600 block of Lincoln Ave. – The victim’s vehicle, was broken into at 4:50 a.m., by two unidentified suspects, via a passenger side window smash. During the investigation, it was learned that the victim had a warrant for his arrest. The male subject was arrested, for a felony extraditable warrant out of Las Vegas. Later, he was released due to Las Vegas Metro Police not being able to send over the warrant in a timely manner.
Assist Outside Agency – 9:06 p.m. – 8000 block of Acacia – A transient encampment caught fire by unknown means on the pedestrian bridge, south of La Palma. The fire was minor in nature and there were no injuries. A report was taken for documentation. OCFA Arson was unable to determine a cause.
February 6, 2023
Commercial Burglary – 9:28 a.m. – 5300 block of Lincoln Ave. – Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect entered the business via a window smash and stole the ATM.
Traffic Collision – 11:50 p.m. – Moody/Ball – From a call of an injury traffic collision at the location, a male subject was arrested for felony DUI (causing injury) and hit and run after he fled the scene on foot. The subject was located on Belle and St. Sophia. He was booked at Orange County Jail (OCJ).
February 7, 2023
Arson – 4:10 a.m. – 9300 block of Evergreen – The reporting party woke up to a loud explosion and observed her vehicle fully engulfed in flames. The case is under investigation.
Stolen Vehicle – 7:57 a.m. – 4900 block of Katella Ave. – Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect stole the victim’s vehicle. The vehicle was scanned 4 times since it had been stolen in Los Alamitos and later in Paramount. The vehicle was recovered by Long Beach PD in their city at 12:20 p.m.

Commercial Burglary – 12:06 a.m. – 5500 block of Lincoln Ave. – Officers responded to an alarm call at the location and observed a window smash to the front door. No suspects were located upon arrival. The business owner responded and confirmed two electric bikes were stolen from the business, valued at $4,200 each.
Vehicle Burglary – 12:14 a.m. – 5600 block of Bishop – From a call of a possible vehicle burglary in progress, officers located two suspects matching the description given by the victim in the area of Valley View and Karen. One subject was arrested for petty theft, possession of burglary tools, felon in possession of a stun gun, conspiracy and a probation violation. A second subject was also arrested for petty theft, conspiracy and a probation violation. Both were transported and booked at OCJ.
Shoplifting – 3:07 p.m. – 6800 block of Katella Ave. – From a call of a habitual shoplifter, a female subject was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. It is believed that the female called the shoplifting suspect when she observed the police arrive and he abandoned his efforts to steal and promptly exited the store. The female was cited and released from the scene and all parties were advised per trespassing.
Residential Burglary – 5:01 p.m. – 5500 block of Orchid – Possibly two suspects cut the power to the home and entered via rear window smash. The loss was cash, high-end purses, Nike collectable shoes and other miscellaneous items valued at approximately $70k. The Orange County Crime Lab responded and processed the scene.

Commercial Burglary – 10:05 a.m. – 4700 block of Lincoln Ave. – At 5:40 a.m., the suspect smashed the front glass door, made entry, and stole $600 cash. Suspect described as a male wearing a black shirt, a gray sweatshirt, gray pants, with a surgical mask, black gloves, and white shoes. No vehicle was seen.
Pedestrian Check – 1:07 p.m. – Knott/Katella – During a pedestrian check, a male subject was arrested for felony resisting/fighting an officer, and destruction of evidence after he smashed a glass pipe and engaged in a physical altercation. The subject was transported to OCJ for booking.
Grand Theft – 6:09 p.m. – 9600 block of Paseo de Oro – The victim’s catalytic converter was stolen from his vehicle on 02/05/23. This is the third time it has been stolen.
February 10, 2023
Commercial Burglary (x3) – 3:07 a.m. – 4900 block of Katella Ave. – A security guard located three window smashes and notified the Police Department. Officers checked the businesses and no suspects were located. There was a $600 loss at one business.
Disturbance – 1:19 p.m. – Surrey/Lexington – From a call of a disturbance, a female subject was arrested for felony domestic violence after she physically assaulted her girlfriend, causing visible minor injury.
February 11, 2023
Traffic Stop – 1:31 a.m. – Sorrento/Avenida Grenada – From a traffic stop, a female subject was arrested for possession of narcotics and fentanyl for transportation and sales. She was also arrested for possession of Xanax pills and paraphernalia. She was transported to OCJ.
Commercial Burglary – 8:03 a.m. – 6200 block of Ball Rd. – Overnight, an unknown suspect smashed the front window to the business and stole a credit card terminal and $300.00 cash.
Pursuit – 10:30 p.m. – Lincoln/Bloomfield – Police attempted to stop a blue Dodge Challenger and the vehicle fled westbound to the 605 northbound. The pursuit was canceled shortly after as the suspect vehicle was driving without its headlights on at a high rate of speed.
