Mothers at Work Children’s Center (M.A.W.), located at the Burns Community Center, is an educational center offering a full day program for young children between the ages of 2 and 5 years old.
This is a year-round preschool program which operates from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Children do not need to be toilet trained to enroll. A hot breakfast is served each morning at 7:25 a.m., and hot lunches and two snacks are also provided daily.
Each classroom has one teacher for each group of 10-12 children. All of the teachers specialize in the field of early childhood education and provide instruction and experience in language development, math, science, health, art, music, physical development and dramatic play.
The Burns Community Center is located at 5510 Clark Ave., Lakewood. M.A.W. is licensed by the State Department of Social Services (license number 191601006).
