The items shown below are selected from the logs of the Cypress Police Department. The police blotter is not a comprehensive listing of police-related incidents in the city, and no inference of guilt is implied in showing any item in the Cypress police blotter.

January 8, 2023

 
Traffic Stop – 6:16 p.m. – 5800 block of Lincoln Ave. – From a traffic stop, a male subjectwas arrested for possession of narcotics, and driving on a suspended license.  He was cited and released at the scene.
Arrest (x3) – 8:53 p.m. – Meridian/Katella – From a traffic stop, a female subject was arrested for possession of narcotics and paraphernalia and misappropriation of lost property. A male subject was arrested for driving on a suspended license. A second male subject was also arrested for three outstanding warrants. The female subject and the first male subject were cited out at the scene, and the second subject was transported to Orange County Jail (OCJ).

January 9, 2023

 
Catalytic Converter Theft – 3:01 p.m. – 9800 block of Valley View St. – Sometime between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., an unknown suspect stole the catalytic converter from the victim’s vehicle. 
Shoplifting – 3:26 p.m. – 5500 block of Ball Rd. – From a shoplifting case, a male subject was arrested for shoplifting, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a warrant. The subject was cited for his shoplifting and paraphernalia case, and absentee booked at OCJ for the warrant. 

January 10, 2023

 
Commercial Burglary – 8:16 p.m. – 6300 block of Lincoln Ave. – Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect smashed the front glass door of the business and may have entered. However, there was no reported loss from the business.
Traffic Stop – 6:41 p.m. – Lincoln/Holder – From a traffic stop, one subject was arrested for driving without a license and a second subject for misappropriation of lost property and possession of paraphernalia. They were both cited and released in the field.

January 11, 2023

 
Pedestrian Check – 12:46 a.m. – Katella/Knott – From a pedestrian check, a male subject was arrested for misappropriation of lost property, and a female subject for warrants. They were both cited and released in the field.
Vehicle Burglary – 9:52 a.m. – 4300 block of Larwin – Sometime in the past 48 hours, an unknown suspect entered the victim’s vehicle through the rear window and stole a subwoofer and miscellaneous personal items, DR #2300108. 
Grand Theft – 2:06 p.m. – 6800 block of Katella Ave. – Two suspects stole $1007 worth of alcohol and fled in a black vehicle. 

January 12, 2023

 
Pedestrian Check – 3:14 a.m. – Lincoln/Knott – From a pedestrian check, a male subject was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, paraphernalia and warrants. He was cited and released in the field.
Traffic Collision – 10:20 p.m. – Katella/Meridian – From a call for service of a vehicle versus a pedestrian, a male subject was arrested for a suspended license.  The victim was transported to the hospital with a broken ankle. The arrested subject was cited and released in the field.
Traffic Stop – 10:39 p.m. – Valley View/Katella – From a car stop, a male subject was arrested for aiding and abetting a street takeover and contributing to the delinquency of a minor after being present as vehicles performed donuts.  He was cited and released in the field.

January 13, 2023

 
Pursuit – 2:45 a.m. – Valley View/Lincoln – Officers attempted a vehicle stop with two occupants inside. When police activated their overhead lights, the vehicle accelerated northbound and then eastbound on the 91 freeway. The pursuit was canceled.
Arrest – 5:42 p.m. – 9900 block of Walker St. – From a call for service, a female subject was arrested for a restraining order violation and a second subject was arrested for battery. The second subject was cited and released at the scene and the first subject was transported to OCJ. 

January 14, 2023

 
Battery Report – 2:47 p.m. – 6000 block of Lincoln Ave. – The victim reported that during an altercation with a known subject, he attempted to hit the victim and ultimately forced her out of the vehicle, which caused minor scratches and a small abrasion.
Arrest – 10:43 p.m. – Bloomfield/Lincoln – From a call for service, a male subjectwas arrested for DUI. He was transported to OCJ.
