Assembly Republican Leader James Gallagher (Yuba City) issued the following statement on the release on December’s inflation data, which showed prices rising 6.5% from the previous year:
“Prices are still sky-high and Democrat politicians seem to have given up trying to bring costs down. From $500 million tax increase on small businesses to pricey regulations to a hare-brained tax on gas sales that will devastate the economy, California Democrats are wasting no time in their efforts to slam their constituents with extra costs.”
