St. John Bosco High School’s football team capped a near perfect season and most likely the national high school football championship with a 45-0 victory over Serra of San Mateo Saturday night at Saddleback College.
Coach Jason Negro’s team, 13-1, jumped out to a 35-0 halftime lead and led 45-0 after three quarters. A running clock was used in the fourth quarter.
Two weeks earlier, St. John Bosco defeated Mater Dei to win the CIF Division 1 title at the Rose Bowl.
