November 21, 2022

Mail Theft – 12:16 p.m. – 4400 block of Casa Grande – Possibly on 11/15 or 11/16, an unknown suspect stole the mail of the resident. 
Shoplifting – 1:34 p.m. – 5800 block of Lincoln Ave. – A male subject was arrested for shoplifting. Police contacted the subject’s probation officer, who placed a hold on him. The subject was booked at Orange County Jail (OCJ).

November 22, 2022

Transient – 6:41 a.m. – 6600 block of Vinalhaven – From a call of a transient sleeping under the reporting party’s kitchen window, a subject was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, along with thirteen warrants. The subject was absentee booked at OCJ.
Vandalism – 12:47 p.m. – 11300 block of Manitinicus – Four unknown juveniles caused approximately $1000 damage to a club house restroom. The juveniles possibly reside within the area.

November 23, 2022

Traffic Stop – 2:43 p.m. – Ball/Moody – From a traffic stop, a male subject was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. The subject was cited and released in the field.
Traffic Collision – 4:29 p.m. – Orangewood/Andros – From a traffic collision, a male subject was arrested for DUI.

November 24, 2022

Vehicle Burglary Report – 2:49 p.m. – 10500 block of Progress Wy. – On 11-23-22 at 2:30 a.m., two subjects park their vehicle next to the victim’s work truck and utilize bolt cutters to enter the cargo area. Once they discovered the compartment was empty, they attempted to steal gas but were unsuccessful, only damaging the gas line.
Disturbance (Family) – 11:45 p.m. – 4400 block of Casa Grande – From a family disturbance call, a male subject was arrested for resisting arrest and a female subject was arrested for assault and battery and felony vandalism. They were both transported to OCJ. Another female subject was arrested for assault and battery. She was cited and released at the scene.

November 25, 2022

Trespassing – 7:27 a.m. – 5800 block of Lincoln Ave. – After being advised of trespassing at 7:00 a.m. and returning to the location and creating a disturbance, a male subject was arrested for trespassing. He was transported to OCJ.
Vandalism Report – 11:18 a.m. – 5700 block of Cerritos Ave. – From a call for service of a family disturbance, the reporting party (RP) advised that her restrained son vandalized her vehicle and then fled the area on foot. She was uncooperative and he was not found in the area. Report taken.
Shoplifting – 11:36 a.m. – 5800 block of Lincoln Ave. – From a call of a subject shoplifting, police
ultimately located the suspect to the front of the store walking away from Loss Prevention (LP). Alatorre then fled on foot and Officer and the LP gave chase. The subject surrendered and was taken into custody for shoplifting, resist/delay peace officer, and possession of a concealed dirk/dagger. He was transported to OCJ for booking.

November 26, 2022

Vehicle Pursuit – 7:05 a.m. – Lincoln/Knott – Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop for California Vehicle Code violations and the suspect fled, leading to a pursuit. The pursuit went eastbound on Lincoln Avenue for approximately 2 miles and was ultimately terminated. At approximately 9:00 a.m., Cypress Police were notified Garden Grove Police had contact with the same suspect and he was transported to the hospital for a medical aid (under the influence of alcohol). A Cypress officer responded to the hospital for an interview and identified him.
Arrest – 9:55 a.m. – 5900 block of Corporate Ave. – While police were patrolling the area, a male subject was located and arrested him for felony vandalism and violation of a restraining order based on an investigation from the day prior. He was transported to OCJ for booking.
Theft Investigation – 2:44 p.m. – 4700 block of Ariano Dr. – A witness observed a suspect carrying packages and ripping them open. The suspect then discarded the empty boxes and fled the area. Officers arrived and located the suspect from a distance but he immediately began hopping walls southbound and into the flood control off Ball/Myra area, going westbound. Police were unable to find a desirous victim and the suspect was not located.

November 27, 2022

Pedestrian Check – 6:54 a.m. – 5400 block of Lincoln Ave. – From a pedestrian check, a male subject was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine, and an outstanding warrant. He was cited and released in the field.
Shoplifting – 9:31 p.m. – 6800 block of Katella Ave. – From a call for service regarding a male suspect who concealed items and exited the business without paying, a male subject was arrested for shoplifting. He was cited and released in the field.
