The Rose Bowl will be the site of Friday night’s Division 1 game between St. John Bosco and Mater Dei. The game is being played at the home of the UCLA Bruins to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Rose Bowl.

Northwood, the defending CIF Division 11 champion, will take on Lakewood Saturday night at 7 in Lakewood for the Division 8 championship.

The Northwood players, along with other players, were able to see the UCLA locker-room and walk on the Rose Bowl stadium turf.

Northwood was also represented by co-athletic directors Brandon Emery and Sierra Wang at the press conference.

There will be 15 divisional finals this weekend. This will be the 108th edition of the CIF championships, officials noted.

Los Angeles Chargers General Manager Tom Telesco was the keynote speaker of the luncheon, presented by the Los Angeles Chargers. Commissioner Rob Wigod and assistant commissioner Thom Simmons welcomed the players and coaches to the luncheon, where reporters were able to interview the players.
