Cypress City Council candidates’ Fair Political Practices Commission (“FPPC”) filings revealed that as of September 24, 2022, David Burke leads all candidates in contributions from Cypress residents (excluding candidates’ self-funding). Burke raised over $6,000 from Cypress residents, with no other candidate raising more than $2,200 from individuals residing in Cypress.
“As the founder of a nonprofit that fights against special interest money in politics, I am proud to lead all candidates in contributions from Cypress residents”, said Burke. “I’m extremely grateful that people whose doors I’ve knocked on, or met at council meetings and community events have contributed to my campaign or volunteered to help.”
Another round of FPPC filings are due on October 27, 2022, and they should be posted on the city’s official website shortly after.
