Don’t miss The Commodores, one of the greatest Motown/R&B/Funk groups of all time, when it plays at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts (CCPA) on Sunday, October 30 at 7:00 PM. Tickets start at $55.

THE COMMODORES set the music world ablaze with the hits Machine Gun, Sail On, Brick House, and the Grammy-winning multi-Platinum Nightshift. The Alabama Music Hall of Fame and Vocal Group Hall of Fame-inducted band has sold more than 75 million albums, a testament to its staying power after more than 50 years in the industry.

Formed at the Tuskegee Institute in 1968, The Commodores was known as “smart guys.” But they were funky too. Smart and funky enough to open for the Jackson 5 and be discovered by legendary music producer Berry Gordy. With a steady string of hits – including Easy, Three Times a Lady, Oh No, Slippery When Wet, Lady (You Bring Me Up), Just to Be Close to You, and Too Hot Ta Trot – The Commodores became one of Motown’s largest selling acts in the ’70s and ’80s. To date, the band has sold more than 75 million records worldwide.
