Kinder Heart Foundation is hosting Grand Opening to support Registered Nurses and nursing school students
As the first of its kind, Kinder Heart Foundation (KHF) was founded for nurses, by nurses, in 2020. The organization’s motto “For the Love of Nurses” drives the dual mission of providing Free and Low-Cost Housing to nursing students. Further, Kinder Heart Foundation provides support, networking, community, and love to the active Registered Nurses and the RN student community in general.
Grand opening event guests will be able to visit the Art Gallery and RN Museum, “For the Love of Nurses,” with all original uniforms and nurse memorabilia dating from the Civil War to present day. Additionally, the guests will be able to view the flower shoppe, Kinder Florist and Gift Shoppe, where RNs and RN students can get flowers at wholesale prices or free and see the Event and Design Studio, where the Kinder Heart Foundation team will plan and host free and low-cost events for RNs and RN students.
Kinder Heart Foundation RN students from Golden West College, California State University, Long Beach (CSULB), Santa Ana College, Long Beach City College, the University of California, Irvine (UCI), and other locally-accredited programs.
The Grand Opening kicks off on September 30, 2022, at 9:00 am and runs until 5:00 pm. We are located at 7561 Center Avenue, Unit 48; Huntington Beach, CA 92647, in Old World Village right across from the Biergarten restaurant/deli. Look for the 3-story building covered in flowers.
“Nurses are our heroes here at Kinder Heart Foundation, and we have taken action to prove it,” says Co-Founder Gisela Kugler. With housing costs skyrocketing and student RN programs adding hefty additions to curriculums, things have reached a breaking point. Currently, many RN students are homeless and living in their cars (link below). Many more face constant housing insecurities and are living day to day.
“How can we as a community ignore the dignity of our future caregivers?” states CEO Richard Smith.
“These are medical professionals dedicated to helping us at our worst of times,” says florist Tanya Bulak.
“Just as concerning is the complete lack of stress relief and support for our First Responder RNs. These professionals have been fighting on the frontlines long before Covid. Now, they are exhausted and need our love and support more than ever,” says Co-Founder Shannon Smith RN, BSN.
Come visit this amazing and unique concept to support our RN’s and RN students. Kinder Heart Foundation will provide free snacks, treats, and beverages to all attendees. Plus, the organization is giving away 350 swag bags to the first 350 medical professionals to sign up for our free membership.
