Long Beach Police Officers Association endorses Kristina Duggan for 3rd District City Council

The Long Beach Police Officers Association (LBPOA) has endorsed Kristina Duggan for 3rdDistrict City Council.

“I appreciate their confidence in my commitment to public safety. I am running to make a difference for all residents and safety is where it starts,” said Duggan.

“We believe Kristina is best qualified, with public safety as one of her top priorities. Her experience with the 3rd District office and her track record as a business owner and community volunteer position her to convene stakeholders across the community. Kristina has demonstrated an understanding of the vital need for the safety of our officers and the communities they serve to ensure a thriving city with a good quality of life. “My work on staff with Council Member Suzie Price on behalf of the 3rd District strengthened my belief that public safety is one of the most important responsibilities of an elected official. My goal is to work with the community and law enforcement to encourage open dialogue and collaboration to help move us forward,” commented Duggan.

Kristina Duggan’s campaign is building momentum thanks to endorsements like the LBPOA and recent endorsements from Former Long Beach City Mayor Bob Foster and IBEW Local 11.

The Long Beach Police Officers Association was established on June 24th, 1940, and proudly represents the 800 officers, sergeants, and lieutenants of the Long Beach Police Department. The Long Beach Police Officers Association was created to support our citizens through charitable donations and community outreach, negotiate salary, benefits, and working conditions of association members, promote legislation affecting the safety of police officers, and address department morale issues.

Kristina Duggan is a candidate for the 3rd District City Council. Duggan won the primary election with the most votes. She is a 22-year Long Beach homeowner, parent, and co-owner of a behavioral health practice with her husband, Dr. Matthew Duggan, with offices serving residents and organizations across the community. Duggan has endorsements from former 3rd District city council members, including Harbor Commissioner Frank Colonna, Gary DeLong, and Jan Hall Zolin, plus more than 100 businesses and a broad coalition of residents and community organizations. Duggan is running to fill the council seat that current Council Member Suzie Price is vacating.
