July 25, 2022

Vehicle Burglary – 7:55 a.m. – 8900 block of Sumner – Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect broke into the victim’s vehicle trunk and stole a briefcase containing $5000 in gift cards.  
Traffic Stop – 9:26 a.m. – Valley View/Orange – From a traffic stop, a female subject was arrested for several traffic infractions and refusal to sign a citation. 

July 26, 2022

Suspicious Occupied Vehicle – 7:59 p.m. – 9100 block of Valley View St. – From an occupied vehicle check at the location, a male subject was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and warrants.
Disturbance – 9:56 p.m. – Peartree/Orange – From a disturbance call in the area, a male subject was arrested for being drunk in public.

July 27, 2022

Burglary – 3:42 a.m. – 4500 block of Lincoln Ave. – Police responded to the location regarding a burglary in progress. The reporting party advised that two male subjects smashed the front window and were seen behind the counter. Both were seen exiting the business and running towards the Casa Grande apartments.  Officers arrived on scene within two minutes of being dispatched and the suspects were no longer there. Police conducted an area check and but were unable to locate the subjects. The loss was several cartons of cigarettes.
Vehicle Burglary – 11:06 a.m. – 5800 block of Rexford – Sometime between 7/1 and 7/17, the victim’s vehicle was burglarized while it was parked inside the garage.  The victim possibly knew the identities of the suspects of the theft; the loss is approximately $5000 worth of racing gear, auto parts and collectible cards. 
Arrest – 10:47 p.m. – 6800 block of Katella Ave. – While patrolling the alley, an officer was flagged down by the victim, who stated that her car had been broken into in the area of Katella and Meridian. Moments later, the officer observed the victim’s husband in a fight with a male subject who was wearing the husband’s jacket, which was stolen from the vehicle. The officer detained the subject, who was found to be in possession of numerous items that were taken from the victims locked vehicle. The male subject was arrested for vehicle burglary and possession of stolen property.

July 28, 2022

Domestic Violence – 11:46 a.m. – 5900 block of Cerritos Ave. – Officers responded to the area after witnesses observed a female being struck by her boyfriend and pushed into a vehicle. Officers contacted the female who was uncooperative and stated she fell and declined a report. An incident report was taken for documentation.
Burglary – 2:48 p.m. – 6300 block of Lincoln Ave. – Between April 2022 and date of call, an unknown suspect entered the victim’s locked unit and stole over $100,000 in Disney collectibles.

July 29, 2022

Suspicious Subjects – 5:26 a.m. – 5800 block of Lincoln Ave. – From a call of suspicious subjects sitting in a vehicle, police discovered the vehicle was an unreported stolen vehicle from Buena Park and the two subjects inside were in possession of burglary tools, identity theft documents, and narcotics. Police arrested arrested the subjects for possessing a stolen vehicle, identity theft, burglary tools, and outstanding arrest warrants.
Search Warrant – 11:43 a.m. – 9100 block of Valley View St. – The Criminal Investigations Bureau served a search warrant at the location to recover stolen property that had been moved from one unit and placed in another. This was related to three separate burglaries.
Disturbance – 1:55 p.m. – 6800 block of Katella Ave. – From a disturbance call for service, it was determined two vehicles were involved in a dispute and one ended up colliding into another vehicle and fleeing the scene. The suspect vehicle was not located and the driver was not identified. However, during a stop of a possible suspect vehicle, a male subject was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

July 30, 2022

Brandishing a Weapon – 12:54 a.m. – Valley View/Katella – From a call for service of a subject brandishing a gun, a male subject was arrested for brandishing an imitation firearm (pellet gun), and possession of narcotics, paraphernalia and forgery.

July 31, 2022

Traffic Collision – 12:41 a.m. – Katella/Hope – A solo vehicle crashed into the crossing signal and the traffic signal, causing both to fall down and block southbound Hope. Traffic Signal Maintenance was notified and responded. A male subject was arrested for DUI.
Assist Outside Agency – 3:47 p.m. – Katella/Lexington (Los Alamitos) – From a license plate reader hit, police located an occupied stolen Ford F-250 in the area Los Alamitos Blvd. and Katella. A high-risk vehicle stop was conducted on the 605 Freeway south of Katella. Los Alamitos PD handled the recovery and arrested the subject for possession of stolen property.
