The Women’s Political Committee of Los Angeles (WPC) announced their endorsement of City Councilwoman Suzie Price for Long Beach City Mayor.

“I am honored to receive the endorsement of the Women’s Political Committee in the race to become Mayor of Long Beach,” says Price. “I am proud to work alongside WPC as a champion for women’s rights, including the right to choose and equal pay for equal work, and will continue to do so as Mayor.”

Since 1977, the WPC has empowered women to engage politically, using their voices and resources to elect women candidates, at all levels of government, who support reproductive rights, pay equity, and human and civil rights.

The endorsement comes on the heels of Price storming out of the gate with a commanding fundraising lead, raising $522,655.98 – $175,626.01 more than City Hall Lobbyist Rex Richardson. Price has also earned the support of the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 47, California State Controller Betty Yee, State Senator Tom Umberg, and Assemblymember Patrick O’Donnell.
