La Palma residents will get their first look at the newly remodeled Walmart Neighborhood Market located at 5420 La Palma Avenue this morning, as the much-anticipated project is now complete.
To celebrate the completion of the remodel and underscore Walmart’s commitment to the La Palma community, the Store Manager provided grants to the following local community organizations:
- $2,000 to the Costa Mesa Police Department
- $1,000 to the Anaheim Police Survivors Scholarship Fund
The La Palma store remodel includes several department transformations and expansions that will help customers save time. The upgrades also complement the measures the company has taken in its U.S. stores to help protect associates and customers from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
“We are excited for La Palma customers to visit our newly remodeled store,” said La Palma Operations Manager Juan Gonzalez. “The improvements, like our expanded Grocery Department, will offer a broader variety of products and the new arrangement of the department will make checking off your shopping list fast and easy.”
In addition to the Grocery department expansion, customers will also enjoy the following store improvements:
- Expansion of online grocery pickup and delivery departments to serve more customers
- Expanded pet department
- Remodeled restrooms
- New floors and signage
Walmart will continue to innovate to help customers save time and money by giving them the option to shop when, where, and how they want. The La Palma store currently offers the following innovations:
- Pickup – Busy customers love Walmart’s pickup option. It gives them the convenience of shopping online and the ease of quickly picking up groceries without leaving their cars. The best part: there is no fee to use Walmart Grocery Pickup. Customers using SNAP also have the option to use pickup services in most states.
- Walmart Pay – a touch-free way to pay.
To take advantage of Walmart’s new shopping features, customers can download the Walmart app through Apple Store or Google Play.
