April 28, 2022

Vehicle Burglary Report – 9:56 a.m. – 7800 block of Walker St. – An unknown subject had attempted to break into the building at night. The reporting party had surveillance of the incident Report taken.
Citizen Assist – 5:12 p.m. – 5000 block of Sharon Dr. – An elderly female subject was reportedly inside of the caller’s gate. Police contacted the subject and got in contact with the subject’s son. Adult Protective Services was notified and the female was released to her son.

April 29, 2022

Missing Person – 7:12 p.m. – 7792 Walker St. (La Palma Police Department) – The reporting party’s cousin came to the LA area from Texas last week. A friend allowed the cousin to borrow a family member’s vehicle in Carson and the police later located the vehicle with traffic collision damage but not the cousin.
Pedestrian Check – 11:32 p.m. – 5500 block of La Palma Ave. – Following a pedestrian check, police arrested a 56-year-old subject for an outstanding bench warrant for failure to appear on felony charges.

April 30, 2022

Found Property – 10:13 a.m. – 5700 block of Thelma Ave. – Men’s underwear, wipes, toilet paper, and two soda bottles were left in front of the residence. The reporting party moved the items to the street. The reporting party believed that the items were left in the area intentionally.
Welfare Check – 1:37 p.m. – 7800 block of Bouma Cir. – An elderly female subject was reportedly sitting on the lawn in front of the residence for approximately one hour. Police contacted the subject, who advised that she had fallen. OCFA was requested to respond, and the female ws transported to the hospital. Report taken.

May 1, 2022

Stray Animal – 9:17 a.m. – 7821 Walker St. (La Palma Recreation Center) – Two dogs were reportedly off-leash at the Edison Right-of-Way and Central Park. SEAACA advised.

May 2, 2022

Transient – 6:35 a.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – An elderly female transient was reportedly laying in the parking lot covered in a blanket. Party advised and will comply. The subject refused assistance.
Counseling – 5:26 p.m. – 5200 block of Los Encantos Cir. – A family member reportedly accused the reporting party of making fraudulent charges on an account. Counseled.

May 3, 2022

Counseling – 7:25 p.m. – Valley View/La Palma – The reporting party realized that she was involved in a traffic collision at approximately 7 p.m. The RP did not realize that she hit another vehicle during the incident. The RP and the other party stopped next to each other at another light after La Palma/Valley View and the other driver did not attempt to flag down the RP.
Welfare Check – 7:46 p.m. – 5900 block of La Palma Ave. – A subject was reportedly talking to a pole and hitting it, as well as walking between traffic and the center median. The subject was gone on the arrival of police.

May 4, 2022

Traffic Collision – 3:57 p.m. – La Palma/Redford – A vehicle reportedly struck a tree. The vehicle was on fire and a subject was stuck in the vehicle. The subject escaped the vehicle. The vehicle was removed from the roadway by a flatbed tow truck. Report taken.
Assault/Battery Report – 5:41 p.m. – 8100 block of Walker St. – The caller’s 13-year-old daughter was reportedly assaulted during PE by a seventh-grader.
