April 21, 2022

Petty Theft Report – 10:41 a.m. – 7700 block of Valley View St. – A rear license plate was stolen while the reporting party was at a casino. Courtesy report taken.

April 22, 2022

Area Check – 9:43 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – Subjects were reportedly in the parking lot possibly smoking marijuana. Police were unable to locate the reporting party or the other party.
Disturbance (Music) – 10:52 p.m. – 4700 block of Donna Dr. – Loud karaoke music was reportedly coming from the residence. Party advised and will comply. First response issued.

April 23, 2022

Suspicious Circumstances – 2:42 p.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – An unknown subject reportedly hit the reporting party with a BB from a BB gun. The RP beleived that it came from a particular apartment. All parties counseled.
Welfare Check – 7:28 p.m. – La Palma/Redford – A subject was reportedly talking to herself and was possibly on drugs. Police contacted the subject, who refused medical services. Police directed her towards the homeless shelter in Buena Park.

April 24, 2022

Found Property – 12:23 a.m. – 7792 Walker St. (La Palma Police Department) – A Lyft driver found an unknown subject’s phone left in the vehicle. It was unknown which passenger left the phone.
Disturbance (Subject) – 12:56 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A female subject, possibly a transient, was reportedly screaming and throwing items. The female was advised regarding trespassing.

April 25, 2022

Traffic Stop – 9:18 a.m. – 91 Fwy./Carmenita – Police performed a traffic stop on a vehicle possibly related to a previous disturbance. During the traffic stop, a subject spit on an officer. A 34-year-old male subject was arrested for driving on a suspended/revoked license for DUI, resisting/obstructing an officer, and battery on a peace officer. The subject was booked at Orange County Jail.
Transient – 9:04 a.m. – 5500 block of La Palma Ave. – An elderly homeless woman was reportedly sleeping on furniture in the patio area and refusing to leave as the location was closing. Party advised and will comply and left the area.

April 26, 2022

Area Check – 8:42 a.m. – 91 Fwy./Orangethorpe – Police were requested to check the area for a white Prius that reportedly ran several lights and had a near-miss with several pedestrians. The vehicle was gone on the arrival of police.
Missing Adult – 8:30 p.m. – 7900 block of Louise Ln. – A mother received a text from her daughter to report her vehicle stolen. The reporting party and her husband believed that the subject was being held against her will by her boyfriend and advised that she had previously come home with bruises that they believe are from the boyfriend. There was a restraining order in place against the boyfriend. The parents were able to contact the daughter by phone. Police spoke with the daughter, who advised that she had no physical contact with her restrained boyfriend and stated that she had received over 80 phone calls from the boyfriend the night prior. The daughter stated that when she was at work, she texted her mother and advised her that if she did not return home to contact the police because she was afraid the boyfriend might show up at her work after all of the phone calls the night prior. The boyfriend never showed up at her work and the daughter returned home when she got off work.

April 27, 2022

Found Property – 7:08 a.m. – 7800 block of Barbi Ln. – The caller’s neighbor had a crack pipe on the lawn. The RP requested La Palma Police Department pick up the item and dispose of it.
Fraud/Forgery Report – 7:38 a.m. – 7500 block of Keith Cir. – The reporting party’s ex-boyfriend reportedly forged her signature to remove her from the lease without her permission. Report taken.
