Pat Bates announced she has received endorsements from Newport Beach City Councilwoman Diane Dixon, Senator and former Senate Republican Leader Shannon Grove, Assemblywoman Janet Nguyen and former U.S. Representative Mimi Walters.

“I am honored to have the support of these four Republican leaders and trailblazers,” said Bates. “Our party has established a long tradition of electing strong and effective women to leadership roles and nowhere has that been the case any more than in Orange County.”

Pat Bates herself is a trailblazer. She led the successful incorporation of Laguna Niguel, was a founder of the California Women’s Leadership Association, and served in leadership roles as a Supervisor, Assemblymember and Senator.

Bates agreed to run for Supervisor at the urging of Republican leaders facing the prospect of an unelectable GOPer moving on to the run-off election against the likely opponent, liberal incumbent Katrina Foley.

Pat is endorsed by the Orange County Lincoln Club and the New Majority, the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association PAC and the California Congress of Republicans, among others.
