March 17, 2022

Grand Theft Report – 10:32 a.m. – 5700 block of Fresca Dr. – The caller reported the theft of 24 pallets of consumer products from inside a trailer on February 25 between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. The product never arrived at its destination.
Person Down – 5:35 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A subject was reportedly passed out. The subject was breathing but unconscious when police arrived. OCFA responded and the subject was transported to the hospital.

March 18, 2022

Counseling – 12:07 p.m. – 8200 block of Walker St. – Police counseled a subject regarding their daughter ditching class. The daughter’s phone GPS showed her at Mackay Park. The daughter’s mother was contacted and would be responding to the park.
Suspicious Subject – 7:06 p.m. – Centerpointe – A female subject in the lobby was not a guest and was possibly under the influence. The subject was wandering near the elevator and carrying a bag. Party advised and will comply.
Transient – 11:24 p.m. – 8100 block of Walker St. – A transient reportedly attempted to break the light-up sign in front of the location. The subject was arrested for vandalism. Cypress Police was requested to follow up and check the area for any recent burglaries or vandalisms.

March 19, 2022

Assault/Battery – 11:55 a.m. – 8200 block of Walker St. – During a choir performance, an adult reportedly committed assault/battery to a minor student. Medical attention was declined for the student. Report taken.
Domestic Abuse – 5:40 p.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – A male subject advised that his girlfriend assaulted him, leaving marks on his chest where she punched him. She also slapped him. He also stated that the female sprayed bleach on the reporting party’s dog, saying that his dog was a demon. Report taken. An Emergency Protection Order was requested.

March 20, 2022

Petty Theft – 1:08 p.m. – 5000 block of Pine Cir. – A subject was seen on camera walking away from the residence with a package. Police were unable to locate the subject after checking the area. The reporting party will attempt to have the items replaced and would contact the police for a report if needed. The loss was approximately $200 in children’s clothes.
Transient – 4:11 p.m. – 7800 block of Valley View St. – A male subject possibly urinated on a staff member’s vehicle. Police contacted the subject, who showed the spot near a bush where he urinated and there was nothing on the vehicle. The subject left the area.

March 21, 2022

Disturbance (Subjects) – 1:13 a.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – A couple was reportedly arguing on Walker. The reporting party believed that the male half was trying to leave and the female wasn’t allowing it. Police contacted the subjects and performed a search. The male subject was arrested for appropriation of lost property and the female subject was arrested for receiving known stolen property. Their vehicle was impounded and towed. Both subjects were later released on citation.
Incident Report – 11:23 a.m. – 8100 block of Redford Ln. – $4000 was reportedly sent via Venmo to a subject. The transaction was canceled; the recipient was not supposed to receive the money. Venmo would not return the funds without a police report. Report taken.
Counseling – 3:58 p.m. – 7000 block of Walker St. – A male subject was reportedly making noise and threw dirt on the reporting party’s patio. The RP already spoke to management and requested to speak to an officer in person. The reporting party was advised to continue contact with the property management.

March 22, 2022

Unknown Trouble – 8:52 p.m. – Fresca/Valley View – Power went out at the station. A pole was on the ground blocking the westbound lanes just west of Valley View. The pole was split in half about 20 feet up. A tow truck driver advised that a big rig was backing out of a driveway and may have hit the power lines and pulled the pole down. It was unknown it the lines were hot. OCFA arrived on scene and advised everyone to stay at least fifty feet away from the downed wires. Edison was notified and responded. Public Works also responded and power was eventually restored. Report taken.

March 23, 2022

Petty Theft Report – 7:22 a.m. – 5000 block of Pine Cir. – The reporting party had surveillance footage of a package theft. The loss at this time was children’s clothing valued at $150. Report taken.
Petty Theft – 5:52 p.m. – 5500 block of La Palma Ave. – The loss was a can of chocolate powder mix. The suspect was possibly in back of the building. The reporting party desired prosecution. The loss was valued at $14.
Found Property – 10:54 p.m. – 7792 Walker St. (La Palma Police Department) – A subject unloaded a duffel bag onto the police department lobby table and left. Police conducted a patrol check but were unable to locate the subject.
