March 3, 2022

Animal Call – 7:36 p.m. – 8000 block of Cheshire Cir. – The caller stated that his dog was run over on March 3 at approximately 6 p.m. on Elben Dr. by a neighbor who did not stop or tend to the dog, which was witnessed by the reporting party. The driver drove away out of sight. The caller later observed the vehicle parked in a driveway on Lancashire. The dog has since passed away. Police made contact with the subject, who admitted that she did hit and animal that she believed to be a cat. When she parked her car and went back, the animal was no longer there. Police assisted with a names exchange.
Transient – 9:19 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A female subject was reportedly sleeping with her pants around her ankles in the first floor hallway. Party advised and will comply.

March 4, 2022

Area Check – 5:55 p.m. – Moody/El Rancho Verde – Park goes were flying a kite and there were signs advising that there were signs to not fly kites in the area. Police were unable to locate any kites in the area.

March 5, 2022

Disturbance (Subject) – 6:55 p.m. – 7900 block of Walker St. – Security reported that a patient was discharged three hours prior and was hiding in the restroom. Police made contact with the subject, who left the hospital.
Stray Animals – 7:33 p.m. – Centerpointe – Friendly dogs were reportedly roaming ont he third floor. The dogs were secured back in the room. Report taken.

March 6, 2022

Area Check – 4:39 p.m. – Edison Right-of-Way and Laurelwood – The reporting party was concerned regarding two subjects flying a kite in the area. The caller advised that he had previously called to report kite flying in the area.
Found Property – 5:42 p.m. – 7821 Walker St. (La Palma Recreation Center) – Two large red gas cans in the parking lot. The items were collected for destruction. No report taken.
Suspicious Subject – 6:35 p.m. – 7800 block of Walker St. – A naked male subject was reportedly on the side of the caller’s residence. The subject was not known to the area. The subject was determined to have been changing clothes. The subject was advised and sent on his way.

March 7, 2022

Disturbance (Subject) – 4:46 a.m. – 5400 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – A female sbuject was reportedly taking receipts and possibly urinated inside the store. The subject cited for littering in front of officers. The subject was given a bus pass and warned regarding trespassing.
Disturbance (Subject) – 9:32 p.m. – 4800 block of La Palma Ave. – The caller stated that a female was screaming and possibly in distress. The female had also been crying. Police made contact and the female advised that she was upset after learning her son’s father had just passed away. No crime.

March 8, 2022

Traffic Hazard – 8:11 a.m. – La Palma/Redford – The reporting party requested police assist with removing debris from the roadway following a traffic collision. The drivers were exchanging information and the officer was only needed for the debris. Assisted.
Vehicle Check – 10:50 p.m. – Santa Margarita/Cornwall – During a vehicle check, police conducted a search of the vehicle. A male subject was advised and left he area. Two license plates were found in the trunk of the vehicle. Both Downey and Fountain Valley Police Departments were contacted and requested to perform knock and talks with the registered owners of the plates. Whittier Police reported that they had impounded a matching vehicle with only one plate; the vehicle had been released to the registered owner on January 15. La Palma Police arrested a female subject for possession of burglary tools. Her vehicle was impounded and towed.

March 9, 2022

Pedestrian Check – 6:51 a.m. – 5400 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – Following a pedestrian stop, a 40-year-old male subject was arrested for felony parole violation. The subject was booked and transported to Orange County Jail.
Traffic Stop – 7:38 p.m. – 91 Fwy./Knott (Buena Park) – Police performed a traffic stop on a vehicle and determined that the subject was the victim of stolen plates. Unknown subject(s) had switched the license plates of his vehicle. The subject was advised to contact Anaheim Police Department for a report. The plates were taken by police. Report taken.
