The inaugural Long Beach Cambodian Restaurant Week will take place October 9-16, 2022, organizers announced today. Long Beach Cambodian Restaurant Week will be a medium to bring everyone to the table, from all walks of life, to showcase the city’s delicious Cambodian food scene.

Organized by Long Beach Food & Beverage, a California registered 501(c)3 non-profit, along with Chef “T” Tarak Visoth Ouk, a renowned Khmer chef and pillar of the local Cambodian community, Long Beach Cambodian Restaurant Week will be an eight day event devoted to celebrating Cambodian and Southeast Asian fare in and around Long Beach. The event also seeks to highlight Cambodian-owned food businesses as well as Cambodian chefs and bartenders.

“I approached Long Beach Food & Beverage with the idea of a Cambodian Restaurant Week following the recent successes of Long Beach Burger Week and Black Restaurant Week,” stated co-organizer Ouk. “This will give our local Cambodian community the opportunity to share our culture and cuisine with all food lovers in Long Beach and encourage them to try something they may not have experienced before.”

“Long Beach Cambodian Restaurant Week is more than an eight-day event featuring dozens of Cambodian-owned restaurants and food businesses,” added Terri Henry, co-organizer of the event. “Since launching Long Beach Food & Beverage in 2019, we’ve been committed to supporting all of Long Beach’s valued restaurants and will support Cambodian Restaurant Week with a comprehensive advertising, marketing and PR campaign to help put ‘butts in seats’ during Long Beach Cambodian Restaurant Week and beyond.”

Cambodian-owned Restaurants, Food Trucks, Caterers, Bakeries, Pop-ups, Cottage Businesses and Retail Food Businesses are invited to participate.

Restaurants and food businesses wanting to participate in Long Beach Black Restaurant Week can visit www.CambodianRestaurantWeekLB.com to register on-line. Registration deadline is August 31, 2022.
