The City of Irvine is hosting a Thanksgiving meal distribution to serve seniors, veterans, and their families. The meals will be provided by Orange County Third District Supervisor Donald P. Wagner, to support families who may be experiencing food insecurity as a result of COVID-19.
The drive-thru meal distribution will be Monday, November 22, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Irvine Civic Center. The meals will be individually wrapped, and include turkey, side dishes and dessert. The food distribution is funded through the American Rescue Plan Act, as allocated to the Orange County Board of Supervisors.
Those in need of Thanksgiving meals can drive through or walk up to the Irvine Civic Center, located at 1 Civic Center Plaza in Irvine. Age Well Senior Services is also partnering to host this food distribution event. Meals are available on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. If additional assistance is needed this holiday season, please contact the Orange County Office on Aging at 800-510-2020.
